Emmy: pioggia di nomination per "Westworld", l'Italia in lizza con Sorrentino
Agli Oscar della tv concorre anche "The Young Pope" con due candidature
"Westworld" con 22 candidature, "Stranger Things" e "Feud: Bette and Joan" con 18 entrambe, sono le produzioni tv più nominate alla 69esima edizione degli Emmy Awards.
La cerimonia di premiazione sarà 17 settembre al Microsoft Theater di Los Angeles e ci sarà in gara anche "The Young Pope" di Paolo Sorrentino, che ha ottenuto le candidature per la miglior fotografia e scenografia. E' la prima volta che una serie italiana riceve nomination agli Oscar della tv.
Dietro al terzetto che occupa i posti del podio delle candidature troviamo "Veep", "Big Little Lies" e "The Night Of", nominate rispettivamente 17, 16 e 13 volte.
Interessante la sfida nella categoria delle migliori attrici in una miniserie o un film tv: le protagoniste di "Big Little Lies" Nicole Kidman e Reese Whiterspoon, le star di "Feud: Bette and Joan", Jessica Lange e Susan Sarandon, oltre Felicity Huffman ("American Crime"). Nomi da togliere il fiato anche sul versante maschile: Robert De Niro ("The Wizard of Lies"), Ewan McGregor ("Fargo"), Geoffrey Rush ("Genius"), Benedict Cumberbatch ("Sherlock: The Lying Detective") e John Turturro ("The Night Of").
