Beyoncé fa il pieno di nomination agli MTV Video Music Awards 2016. La lista dei candidati infatti è stata resa pubblica con una diretta su Facebook ed è lei la regina indiscussa in ben 11 categorie.
Ignorata Taylor Swift, mentre Kanye West conquista due possibilità. I premi saranno assegnati il 28 agosto nella storica location del Madison Square Garden.
Ad essere svelate via social, con un'opera di street art mostrata durante un live sul profilo Facebook di Mtv ,sono state in realtà le nomination per il riconoscimento più importante, ovvero quello per il "Video of the Year". Gli artisti che si contenderanno il “Moonman” (il premio è un astronauta che regge in mano la bandiera di MTV), la speciale stautetta di Mtv, in questa categoria sono: Adele con "Hello", Beyoncé con "Formation”, Drake con la superhit "Hotline Bling", l'immancabile Justin Bieber con "Sorry" e Kanye West con l'ultimo discusso singolo "Famous".
Dopo un'annata trascorsa tra nomination e premi, Taylor Swift invece è stata letteralmente ignorata e non ha conquistato nessunaa candidatura. Ne ha guadagnate tre invece il suo ex compagno Calvin Harris, per le collaborazioni con Disciples e Rihanna.
